Wet pour

What is wet pour surfacing?

Wet pour surfacing is a flexible two-course safety surface. The top layer of wet pour surfacing is known as the ‘wearing’ course, it consists of tough and durable EPDM rubber granules mixed with a polyurethane binder. These are clean cut granules which provide a well bonded surface with a durable and high tensile strength finish.

The Bottom layer, also referred to as the base course, comprises of granulated recycled rubber and polyurethane laid to varying depths dependent on the CFH (critical fall hight)  of the individual Play equipment.

Wet pour  is an ideal surfacing application for the following areas:

  • Playground or outdoor gym equipment
  • Sports and leisure applications
  • Outdoor spaces
  • Pathways
  • Splash areas
  • Swimming pool surrounds

Benefits of using wet pour

  • Wide choice of design and colours
  • Can be laid over an existing tarmac, concrete or existing wet pour area
  • Porous and fast draining
  • Installed only by our own specialist operatives
  • Durable hard wearing surface

How much does Wet pour safety Surfacing Cost?

Just like many Construction projects, the total costs for something like wet pour surfacing will depend on several variables which will change from project to project.

    These variables can include:

    • Size of area
    • Critical fall height (this determines the depth of the Wet pour)
    • Colours
    • Pattern work and design
